Drama Consultancy
Sarah Reid is the General Inspector/Adviser for drama in Hampshire. She works part time for Hampshire Inspection and Advisory Service (HIAS). Previously Sarah taught drama in a number of Hampshire secondary schools up to sixth form level and has been Head of Drama and Arts Coordinator as well as Head of Year. Sarah works with teachers and children across the age range from pre-school to secondary. She co-wrote the Hampshire Primary Drama Handbook. Sarah has also worked with the University of Winchester as a visiting lecturer. She has developed new material for use with the Healthy Schools Initiative and has just completed a Young Carers project for Hampshire primary schools.
Sarah is one of the most skilled people I have worked with. Her ability to take unwilling teachers and, within minutes, engage them in drama activities is amazing. Her quiet and serene manner encourages confidence in all. She is incredibly hard working and very innovative. One look at the quality and quantity of work she has generated with the teachers on SEALs and drama courses is tremendous. She knows how to get the best out of everyone she works with.
Sarah has the ability to take the seed of an idea and ensure it grows into reality. I find her an exciting and enabling colleague to work with.
